MISSIONS GIVING

In 2004, members of Highland Drive came together to drastically change their way of giving to missions.

The $04 for ’04 Campaign began with members making commitments to give $4.00 a week to missions during 2004.  Something that began at the 2004 GIC has continued and gained momentum in the past three years.  Members have given above and beyond their tithes and offerings to make  commitment giving a great success by giving to $5 for ‘05, $6 for ’06, and Light our World 2007.

Percentages of year round missions giving have gone to fund direct mission projects, along with making contributions to Lottie Moon, Dixie Jackson,  and Annie Armstrong Mission Offerings.  Other percentages are given to sponsor Baptist Children’s Home, stipends for mission trip volunteers, and the dream for Highland Drive to someday have our own mission house for missionaries to live in while on state side assignment.

 TOP PER CAPITA GIVING CHURCH

Highland has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by the International Mission Board for giving the most per capita for our membership in the Mt. Zion Association for the 2006 Lottie Moon Offering.
