Music is a vital part of the worship experience here at Highland
Drive Baptist Church. We encourage our members to participate by being
involved in one of our music groups. If you do not feel led to do that,
then we encourage you to lift your voice to our great God as we worship
on Sunday. Check out the links below to find out more about musical
opportunities at HDBC.
ADULT CHOIR
Our Adult choir is the worship leading choir for our 8:30 AM worship
celebration. We rehearse each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. This group
is open to adults from college age to senior adults. No tryouts are
necessary. We sing each Sunday morning and do special presentations at
other times during the year.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR
The Highland Drive Baptist Church children’s choir is for children in
grades 1-6. This choir is under the direction of Sharon Wilson. The
choir meets on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 PM during the school year. They
present two programs each year; A Christmas program in December and a
spring program in May. These programs are highlights for the HDBC
family.
PRE-SCHOOL CHOIR
Our preschool choir is led by Dana McKinney. This choir is for children
ages 3 ½ to 5 years old. They meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00. This
group learns simple Bible songs each week and play special musical
instruments designed especially for them. The preschool choir will sing
several times during the year and often participate in the children’s
choir programs in the Spring and December.
ADULT PRAISE TEAM
The Adult praise team leads worship during our 10:45 AM service each
Sunday. This group is made up of instrumentalists and vocalists. We are
always looking for more singers and instrumentalists. This is a select
group so some music reading skill is necessary to participate. For
vocalists, a short audition is required. Call Brother Rick if you are
interested.
