At HDBC, we believe that children are people, too. A child has emotions, thoughts, and opinions just like adults do. They want to feel heard, noticed, and loved just like everyone else. Children who feel valued at church will be excited to come and will want their friends to come, too. After all, this ministry belongs to the children, and we’re just blessed to be involved in it.

We are not here just to supervise children while their parents attend church. We are here to develop relationships with the children in our ministry, while teaching them about God and His plan to send His one and only Son, Jesus, to rescue us from our sin. We also feel that it is important to develop relationships with parents, our fellow volunteers, and our fellow church members so that we can partner together to raise these children to know and love God and teach them how to tell the world about Jesus. God can and will use anyone for His glory, no matter how old or young they are.
